Carolina Ear & Hearing Clinic, PC can take earmold impressions of your ears to have custom earplugs made for you. There are a variety of earplugs designed to protect against noise and water. Specifically they can be used to protect against loud sounds while mowing the yard, attending concerts, working with loud machinery. They can also be used while swimming or in the shower to keep water out of the ear. Musician’s plugs are used for someone exposed to 90-120-dB sound levels and need to hear accurately. Musicians, sound crews, and nightclub workers mostly use them.
