Founded in 1993, the Carolina Ear and Hearing Clinic is a private medical/surgical practice specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the ear in adults and children. Our nationally and internationally recognized physicians and staff are committed to providing the highest quality of otologic and audiologic care. Our fellowship trained physicians are Board Certified in both Otolaryngology and Neurotology focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of hearing loss, balance, and facial nerve disorders, chronic ear infections, and acoustic neuromas.

What is Otology/Neurotology

inner ear anatomy Otology/Neurotology is a subspecialty of Otolaryngology (ear, nose, and throat) dedicated to the diagnosis and medical or surgical management of disorders involving the ear and its related skull base structures, as well as certain areas of the central nervous system. It is a highly specialized area requiring at least 5 years of Otolaryngology residency training after medical school as well as additional formal fellowship training in Otology and Neurotology.
