After one neurologist and 4 ENT visits without a concrete diagnosis, Dr. McElveen was the only one that was able to figure out the cause of my symptoms and provide me with a successful treatment plan. I am so grateful to have met him! I have a PhD in the medical field and always flood Dr. McElveen with questions, who patiently answers all of them. I am amazed by his knowledge, his kindness, and that he is very up to date with research in the field as well. Highly recommend!

I have had the privilege of receiving care at Carolina Ear and Hearing since 2019. The staff here are wonderful. From the front desk to check out, I have always received professional and compassionate care and services. I started with audiology for my condition and ultimately had to have surgery as it progressed. Over the last 7 years, staffing has been consistent with the addition of some new faces. The loyalty of staff to this office is comforting and speaks to the great foundation of leadership. All the staff are excellent! The providers are remarkable and known all over the world. I have seen both Dr. McElveen and Dr. Johnson. I could not ask for a better team of individuals to take care of me. They have seen me through the good, bad, and at times ugly, and always provide the best care in a calm manner. I am beyond grateful for all of them!

Dr. Johnson played an integral part of helping me heal quickly from viral vertigo. He explained every part of the testing process and made me feel at ease with how long it may take me to heal. I highly recommend this office for any balance and/or hearing needs.

Carolina Ear & Hearing is a great professional ear clinic! I had used a q-tip after a shower and as a results, my ear started bleeding. I was able to see Dr. Benjamin Johnson and I received great care! He's a great listener, very kind and professional. First he told me to never use a q-tip to clean out my ear wax and he said to use an over the counter liquid drops ear wax remover that he recommend. He examined both of my ear canals while I watched on the video monitors. That was cool! He removed a ton of ear wax from one ear and it was amazing watching him meticulously remove the ear wax with a small metal tool. I could not even feel the procedure. I got a piece of mind knowing my ears were okay and the q-tip did not do any long term damage. I'm very grateful for Dr. Johnson and the good advice and care that he gave me! Another thing is the clinic is very clean and well organized. It has a great waiting room for children with lots of clean toys to keep them busy while their parents are examined. I've never seen such a clean nice waiting rooms as this. I would highly recommend the Carolina Ear & Hearing Clinic and especially Dr. Benjamin Johnson if you have any ear or hearing issues!
